Food Recall: Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, Publix, Costco, Kroger
We have posted some pretty major food recalls but this one is just insane. Right now there are fozen vegetables, nuts, seeds, and sauces being recalled at 5 major supermarket chains…all at the same time. I don’t think we have ever seen anything like it. Right now the recalls affect Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, Publix, Costco, and Kroger.
We are going to link you to correct information for each product and each store where it is being recalled. In all of these cases the threat is for listeria poisoning whicg is very serious. It can make you very ill and in extreme cases even be fatal.
Trader Joe’s already had a pretty big recall over some items with tainted frozen vegetables and they have now expanded that recall even further. This is a problem that unfortunately seems to be getting worse rather than better. You can get the details on exactly what products and lot numbers are recalled at this link.
Whole Foods has another recall and this time it is for a sauce you may or may not use. I’ve never tried and and I’m not even sure if it’s vegan or not. But I know a lot of Korean foods are so you may want to check it out. All the info is at this link.
Publix is my main supermarket and I buy a lot of their nuts and seeds. So I was very concerned when I saw this recall. While I don’t have any of these particular nuts right now I have bought them in the past. If you buy nuts at Publix you should get the details at this link.
Kroger is also issues a major recall of frozen vegetables at it’s chain of stores. To find out what lot numbers and products are being recalled you can visit this link.
Costco is recalling some products that are primarily products with meat in them. I’m sure most readers of our website don’t eat meat but you may have family and friends that do so you should share it for them. The information on that recall is at this link.
