  1. It’s only serious if you have celiacs disease. If you don’t have it and can digest gluten, there’s absolutely no need to avoid gluten. There’s no health benefit to avoiding gluten. Watching your carbs is one thing, but to purposely avoid gluten if you do not have celiacs disease because you think it will have an adverse effect on your health is misinformed. All gluten is, is the protein in grains. It’s what gives bread its chewy texture. That’s like avoiding milk because you’re not lactose intolerant.

  2. Thank you so much for this! Long story short.. Celiacs runs in my family. I made the decision today to go gluten free in order to decrease some negative health issues I’ve been having recently. I was just thinking how I can do this while maintaining my recent decision to eat cruelty free, and questioned if I can. This post just confirmed I can and started me in the right direction! ✌️❤️
