7 Rare Fruit You Must Eat Before You Die!

One of the great things about being vegan is I can eat fruit. Fruit is my favorite thing in the world to eat and I do so liberally. I will often have my fill of bananas, mangoes, watermelon, peaches, pineapple and more in just one single day. But there are some fruits out there that I have yet to enjoy and from their descriptions I am really missing out!

This list of 7 exotic fruits is something I will try if I am lucky. They range from a fruit that one our the great philosophers called “the most delicious fruit known to men”, to a bizarre fruit that taste amazing but looks like a brain! One of then is even a deadly toxin if eaten improperly but is amazing if you know how to prepare it.

 

The word 'Rambutan' is the Malay word for Hairy. It's the perfect word to describe the outside of this fruit but the inside is more like a grape. This fruit is said to be very sweet and delicious!

The African Horned Cucumber is a bizarre looking fruit that has bright colors and rigid spike on it's skin. It get's it's name from it's resemblance to the horned toad. Despite it's looks this fruit is said to be quite delicious. It's taste has been compared to a combination of banana, cucumber and lemon.

Physalis is a fruit with a name that sounds more like an erectile dysfunction medicine than a fruit. But it is a fruit and a delicious one at that. Physalis is a member of the night shade family and is mostly grown in Columbia and South Africa. The plant grows up to 6 feet high and then spreads to the ground. That makes it similar in appearance to a tomato plant. So it's no coincidence that it is said to taste like a sweet tomato.

The flesh of the fruit is very pulpy and sweet. It has large black seeds that aren't edible and neither is the rind. You can actually fine these at some larger stores and markets depending on where you live.
