Outrage! Govt. Makes Vegan Company Do Animal Testing
I have heard a lot of outrageous things since I went vegan but I can tell you right now that this story beats them all. How can a government possibly justify trying to force a company, whose whole concept is to not harm animals, to harm animals? It seems like some kind of crazy skit from Saturday Night Live but it isn’t. This is actually happening and it’s closer to home than you think.
Who doesn’t like the Field Roast brand of vegan ‘meats’? I like them a lot and I love what they stand for. No, not all of their products are to my personal liking but I do love 
some of them. In fact we had one of their roasts for Thanksgiving and it was delicious! But it looks like they won’t be able to provide their products in Canada unless they agree to do animal testing! Can you imagine that? A Vegan company selling vegan products being forced to do animal testing or not be able to do business in Canada?

Then it obviously won’t be vegan anymore :'( Wth, I thought the world was supposed to be looking into the health of humans and start getting rid of meat, not vegan food!

After reading the article, I’m veru confused… seems like there myst be other ways to measure/ determine the protein content of their proprietary blend. If we can test a foods caloric value by lighting it on fire, can’t we determine protein value is a similar fashion? Why do lab rats have to be involved?
