Does anyone remember when Beyonce’ got into the meal delivery service game? It wasn’t the huge success that she hoped it would be. I think a lot of that was due to her not very vegan lifestyle. She just didn’t win over the people who might actually order it.
Now Superbowl champ Tom Brady is getting into the meal delivery service game. He has partnered with the meal delivery service Purple Carrot. If early interest is any indication his venture could be a big hit. Especially with men.
According to SI:
Five-time champion Tom Brady is partnering with vegan meal kit company Purple Carrot to bring plant-based dinners to your home via the subscription delivery service. “Whether that’s in the gym, on the field, or at work. We want to inspire everyone — not just athletes — to be their best, and I think these meals will be a big step in that direction,” Brady told CNBC in an email.
Each TB12 Performance Meal kit feeds two people and costs $78 a week for three meals. And similar to the strict diet the Brady-Bündchen household follows, customers can expect each meal to be gluten-free, high in protein and low in refined sugar.
The vegan movement is made up largely by females. Recent estimates put the ration of vegans at 75/25 in favor of females. I can tell you the stats on our Facebook page back that up. Maybe this meal service could get more men interesting in going vegan. And that would be a win for everyone, especially the animals.
The meal plan is called TB21 and it’s available exclusively from Purple Carrot. It’s being sold on a pre-order basis now and availability is limited according to their website. You can check it out by clicking here.
