Other than the ancho chili powder there really aren’t any exotic ingredients in this Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies With Spicy Chili recipe. The apple cider may be something you never considered before but you probably have all the ingredients in your pantry now.

One tip about the applesauce for you. I used unsweetened the first time I made this recipe but I only had sweetened the second time I made it. You can use either but the unsweetened really works best in my opinion.

Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies With Spicy Chili

Chocolate Chip Cookies Ingredients

2 C. organic  flour
1 1/4 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 tsp smoked ancho chili powder
1 1/2 tsp fine sea salt (this is for the recipe. you will need a little more for finishing)
1 3/4 C. coconut sugar
1/4 C. date sugar
1/2 C. refined organic coconut oil
1/4 C apple cider
2 tbsp unsweetend applesauce
2 tbsp almond milk
1 3/4 C. Vegan chocolate chips (dark chocolate)

Chocolate Chip Cookies Directions

Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper and preheat oven to 350F

Whisk flour, chili powder, baking soda, salt together in a bowl

Mix the two sugars, apple cider, coconut oil, and apple sauce in a separate bowl

Use a mixer at high speed until blended well

Switch to low speed and slowly blend in the flour mix (add a little almond milk if too dry a little at the time until the dough is the right consistency)

Mix in the chocolate chips

Spoon the dough onto the baking sheet, leaving a couple of inches between each

Lightly sprinkle sea salt on top and place in oven

Bake for about 12 minutes until the edges are set

Remove and allow to cool on a baking rack before eating
