The last time we posted a vegan Oreo recipe there was a ton of backlash from vegan purist. That made me nervous to share this Vegan Oreo Cheesecake Recipe but I’m doing it anyway. Why? Because it’s my website and I share what I love!
I really do understand why a lot of vegans won’t touch an Oreo cookie. I get it. They aren’t healthy, they aren’t made by a vegan company, and the list goes on. I respect that. But ultimately they are vegan so vegan purist need to understand my side.
**On a side note, I have an amazing Vegan alternative to Oreo Cookies that I’ll share with you at the bottom of this article. If you are one of those people that refuses to eat them, I have you covered. Now back to my rant…
I mean, my whole life is about doing the best I can for me and my health and doing the best I can for the animals. As long as everything I do fits within those guidelines then I really think my life is my business. You know?
Do you guys ever have someone that just gets in your face because of your vegan beliefs or your vegan diet? It can really hurt. There are times when it hurts more than others though. I mean when it really cuts you deep.
For me it hurts the worst when someone I love doesn’t accept my veganism. I find it hard to accept that. Some of the people who do that really do love me and just are educated and others really don’t love me at all. Deciding who is who is the challenging part.
The other group of people who hurt me the most are other vegans. I do everything I can to keep my negative impact on animals to the absolute minimum. For some vegans that isn’t enough though. They all have a list of demands that I could be doing better.
- Eat only organic
- Don’t eat any processed food
- Don’t support any company that isn’t vegan
- Grow your own food, stop buying it
- Spend 20 hours a week protesting businesses that exploit animals
- Only eat Non-GMO
- Only eat Raw food
The list of demands of what some people think is the only form of acceptable veganism is mind blowing. I mean, how can I even try to keep up with the expectations of others? The truth is that I can’t. And I don’t even try.
I’m sorry for the mini rant but sharing this recipe triggered me from the last time I shared an Oreo recipe. I know you’d much rather learn how to make this amazing Vegan Oreo Cheesecake.
